Start the work on supporting of the sector on identifying opportunities of participation in different projects and matchmaking activities in collaboration with EIT RawMaterials and Facilitate regional funding available to support the above activities

Establish synergies at a local level, identifying funding (schemes that could be matched with EIT RawMaterials funds and/or ERMA funds and support activities to synergise them and collaboration opportunities also with regards to the ESIF, IPA III funds and the funding supporting the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.

  • Promote activities in the field of mining and related industry;

  • Promote cooperation between actors of the quadruple helix (central and local government, academia, business and civil society) in the field of raw materials;

  • Distribute information about the vision, mission, and activities of EIT RawMaterials –actively promote and disseminate activities via social media, websites, stakeholders mailing lists, (raising awareness among local stakeholders on EIT RawMaterials activities, cooperation opportunities and inviting them to connect at big events) and produce media pieces about EIT RawMaterials activities with high impact.

  • Promote raw materials sector innovation with Success Stories

  • Create appropriate curricula for higher education and professional education, provide training and opportunities to prepare qualified staff for the sector, as well as promote the sector of raw materials;

  • Contribute to the absorption of the brain and the prevention of its removal;

  • Contribute to the strengthening and modernization of the extractive and processing industry of raw materials;

  • Contribute to (or facilitate) the introduction of green technology, and the development of the sector, in order to increase the supply of raw materials from Albania for the European market.

  • Fulfil the administrative responsibilities to EIT RawMaterials report Center activities to the EIT RawMaterials (according to standards for managing and reporting in a professional manner).

  • Coach” raw materials sector relevant applications to international calls

  • Regularly report on the RIS Hub’s plans and achievements to the EIT RawMaterials (EIT RawMaterials RIS Manager).

  • Establish close collaboration and offer regular support to the EIT National Contact Points (NCPs) in terms of information provision for upcoming opportunities for local stakeholders and results of KIC calls (if needed, help them understand the specificities around the KIC they represent), and also regularly inquire at the EIT NCP about opportunities for potential national/regional and other available funding.
